Rueben rponce1971@gmail.com 12-30-2010 1:30:51 AM CST Hey guys, I havent been out to Shellburg Falls in a while but was wondering how the trails are lately? Are they ridable at this time?
Thanks
Mike C, 11-12-2010 11:12:31 PM CST It Is a Mcleod. It is a fire fighting tool and is on most fire fighting tool websites. Cool! Any treated lumber is much needed :)
AT 11-03-2010 9:53:19 PM CST Mike,
What was that trail clearing tool you had called? May have a line on 3 20ft presure treated 2x12's for free
AT 10-12-2010 5:35:44 PM CST Anytime, just let me know.
Mike c 10-11-2010 10:42:38 PM CST Thanks for the Help Aaron, Brandon. It was nice to get back to building some trail. I had a great time and do appriciate the help.
AT 09-27-2010 10:46:35 AM CST No problem. I ended up waiting around all day on somebody to look at my car anyway. Anytime just hit up my email. I will try to make it out.
Mike C. 09-26-2010 12:55:58 AM CST Sorry i did not read your message untill well now. I did not do much work as i woke up with the Flue on friday and it only got worse on saturday.
AT atrout81@gmail.com 09-24-2010 4:43:44 PM CST My Blackrock ride got canned this weekend. Shoot me an email atrout81@gmail.com. I will head up and help. I am sure the trails are way overgrown by now. I have all kinds of tools so let me know what kind of stuff and I can pack gear accordingly. I've worked with you earlier this year if you remember, did all the weedeating up top the start of the year.
Mike C, 09-23-2010 10:38:14 PM CST Looks like I am going up Saturday sept. 25th to work on the trails.
Mike c 09-19-2010 8:09:23 PM CST Reason being thw two people that spend the most time up there are injured and wont be doing much dirt work this year. But if Jason decides to host a build day it will be posted here or in the forum which you can get to from his Fallline website
Mike c 09-19-2010 8:05:50 PM CST No build days planned
AT 09-17-2010 5:37:39 PM CST I'm aware of that. Was noting that even after two weeks of good weather that berm was still 1/3rd full!! It was finally empty in time for them to close the area.
So build days are ?????
Mike c 09-14-2010 5:52:37 PM CST yep. The only berm that holds water is the sharp one at the bottom of the steep hill before the drops. I plan on doing something this winter. I have some black iron pipe i want to drive thru the berm for drainage. Other then that there is no problems. for the most part these trails should not be ridden in a down pour to preserve the trail.
AT 08-27-2010 9:29:16 AM CST Any plans to add some kind of drainage to bullit? Most of the trail looks okay when it is wet but I tend to avoid it in the rain because of how muddy the center sections tend to get. Some of those berms can really hold some water.
Mike c 08-17-2010 10:42:32 PM CST Did not see any damage! Maybe what you saw was the tracks from me as i was useing my quad to drag logs up the trail. Thank you for keeping an eye out there can never be to much help up there. Anyway since we are locked out and cannot gain entry to the trails Bullit is somewhat grown over with weeds but i hope to get up there in october to fix that for the winter riding.
shawn vallymtb@yahoo.com 06-21-2010 12:45:12 PM CST Love the trails, so fun!
I'd like to come out and lend a hand some time!
AT 05-28-2010 8:33:08 PM CST Just an FYI. Headed up on monday to see if anything was rideable. Some 4X4 quads got ahold of the lower new area at the bottom of bullit. Didn't look like they tore up too much more then a couple berms. If you see them some people in a Red H2 need a friendly reminder that the trails are not for motorized vehicles.
